Family Court orders that 4 girls go back to Italy

Justice Forrest ordered this afternoon that the four girls in the middle of the Hague case go back to Italy, their country of birth, with their dad, on his promise that their mum won't be prosecuted for taking them.

The judgment can be seen here: http://www.familycourt.gov.au/wps/wcm/resources/file/ebfea10252d83a3/2012_FamCA_839.pdf

The strangest thing about being at the Family Court this afternoon, as has been the case since the Courier-Mail published the girls' identities, was leaving the building surrounded by a phalanx of news media. The media interest in this case remains astonishing, especially when compared with many other cases which have not been reported.
